PTFE is processed on the same machines and devices as metals and other materials (planes, millers, drilling machines, saws, chopping knives and similar). There are only differences in the speed of the processing machines and the sharpening of the knives.
Due to the mentioned chemical composition and related non-stickiness, bonding of PTFE is very difficult, but not impossible. The surface of the PTFE must be prepared (enlarged) with a special procedure (etching), and both parts which we would like to bond, must be coated with a special two-component glue, and pressed together under a certain pressure. In this way we can bond together PTFE or PTFE and metals.
